ALE TRAILS
Below are the 9 Ale Trails for City of Ale 2023 - each reflecting a Norwich trade. Follow each trail and receive a stamp at each pub.
You can then claim a badge (subject to availability) upon completion by submitting your full details at either the first or final pub on the trail. You can see the badges designed by Norfolk designer Caz Jones below.
This year we have a record number of pubs taking part – with the trail theme of The Strangers. The Strangers were immigrants from Flanders who arrived in Norwich hundreds of years ago fleeing flooding and persecution. They brought with them trades and skills, particularly in weaving and helped shape the prosperity of the city and transform Norwich into what it is today. There are parallels with much of what's happening today but Norwich remains a welcoming city.
Please do contact each pub individually for opening times (as they vary considerably) and disability access.
